About Jack Stack
Jack Stack is the Founder and CEO of SRC Holdings Corp., an award-winning, employee-owned organization based in Springfield, Missouri. Under Jack’s stewardship, SRC has experienced phenomenal growth, spawning more than 40 new business ventures in 25 years. Today SRC employs 1,200 people and generates annual revenue of $230 million. SRC has also created tremendous wealth for its stakeholders, wealth created by employees who know how to win The Great Game of Business, the organization’s guiding business philosophy and successful management practice, which teaches employees to think and act like entrepreneurial business owners. SRC’s stock has grown in value from $.10 a share in 1983 to $199 a share in 2009. Jack is the co-author, with Bo Burlingham, of the best-selling business books The Great Game of Business (Doubleday/Currency, 1992) and A Stake in the Outcome (Doubleday/Currency, 2002). Jack is a national and world judge for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards Institute and has served as an advisor for this group since 1998. INC. Magazine has called him the “smartest strategist in America” and named him one of twenty-five entrepreneurs selected to represent the 25 years INC. has been published. Jack was also listed among the “top 10 minds in small business” in Fortune Small Business Magazine. Jack has been named The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Springfieldian of the Year”, an honor bestowed annually on a local community member who has worked to improve the quality of life in Springfield. He has also received the Springfield Business Journal’s Economic Impact “Lifetime Achievement” award for outstanding professional accomplishments and contributions in the business community. He serves on the Board of Directors of Quest Capital Alliance, is one of Drury University’s Board of Trustees and is a past president of the Springfield Business Development Corp., a subsidiary of the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Jack was the 2007 recipient of the Excellence in Business Award presented by Ozarks Technical Community College.
